Spell Champ Texas helps you practice the UIL A+ Spelling word lists by official word number.

How to practice

1. Tap Practice and pick your division: grades 3-4, 5-6, or 7-8.
2. Pick the word numbers to practice, for example 1 to 25, or tap a quick pick such as Next 25.
3. Listen to the word. Tap Hear it again, Hear it another way, or Use it in a sentence if you need help.
4. Type the spelling and tap Check. Then tap Next word.
5. At the end you see your score and can practice the words you missed.

How answers are scored

Answers are scored the way UIL grades them: capital letters, apostrophes, and hyphens must match exactly. When UIL lists more than one spelling, any of them is correct.
Autocorrect and spell check are turned off while you type, so they cannot fix your spelling for you.

Practice My Words and Trouble words

Practice My Words picks the words you missed and the words due for review first, then new words.
Trouble words lists the words you miss most often (after 3 or more tries). Tap Practice these to work on them.

Sound

If you can't hear the word, turn up your device's volume. The app plays sound even when the silent switch is on.
